Our Personal Message to You About Sexual Abuse Healing and Prevention

Twelve-year-old Autumn Grace has a goal to prevent sexual abuse as she unites survivors of this crime.  To achieve this goal, she wrote and illustrated the 32-page-children's book, Feeling Safe by Autumn Grace and Mom.  To teach valuable safety and healing skills Autumn, working with her Mom as co-author, delicately shares their family's experience with sexual abuse in child-friendly terms.  Adding this book to your personal or business collection will promote the wellbeing of children and adults, as it helps bridge the emotional gaps between sexual abuse victims--healthcare--education--the legal system--and finally, on to survivorhood.

"‘Feeling Safe’ also provides those individuals who have experienced sexual abuse with a resource and an example of another child who has experienced trauma and survived and healed with help. The wish is that all children who need it can have access to both help and a book like ‘Feeling Safe.’”--Midwest Book Review

Feeling Safe by Autumn Grace and Mom
is "...a fantastic book.  So straight forward and friendly with accurate and heartfelt information."--Deborah Rice Executive Director of Stop It Now

"I had always assumed that I was doing a good job of teaching my children how to stay safe from sexual abuse.  However, after they disclosed, I began to wonder what more I should have said or done.  I wish that I would have had Autumn's insight and understanding of this subject before it all happened.  Working with her has made me a better Mom/Teacher." --Maggie Gould, Author

“‘Feeling Safe by Autumn Grace and Mom,’ is a wonderfully sensitive and insightful book which chronicles the trauma of sexual abuse, the reporting of the abuse and the road towards healing.  It is my impression that this book offers young people validation of the many conflicting emotions frequently experienced during sexual abuse and its aftermath, while offering them the hope and encouragement tht they are not alone and will one day ‘feel safe.’”  Lisa Mitchell, LCSW—New York

“This book, ‘Feeling Safe by Autumn Grace and Mom’ is a wonderful tool to start the conversation with your children about the issues of sexual abuse and how important it is to advocate for themselves.”  Lisa Kray, Parent—Pennsylvania
